In his many years of research work in experimental pneumology, PD Dr. Reuter has developed, validated and implemented numerous models that allow the development, progression, exacerbation and therapy of chronic lung diseases to be investigated. To fully describe the pathophysiological phenotype of lung disease, he also has a broad range of methods at his disposal that, in addition to lung function, also allow the characterization of the cellular composition of BAL and the analysis of inflammation and restructuring in lung tissue. In addition to these, he also has methods for investigating the local and systemic immune response. Using the “humanized mouse” model, initial conclusions can also be drawn about pathophysiological or therapeutic processes in humans.
PD Dr. Reuter would be pleased to hear from you for a detailed presentation of possible experimental approaches and to discuss and plan cooperation projects.
